    Delete:
    E.1.h Minimum allowed plate thickness must be reached within 10 mm or 3/8" measured from the normal tangents of the front side of the runners.

    Add:
    E.13 Minimum allowed steel thickness must be reached within 10 mm or 3/8" measured from the normal tangents of the front side of the runners (does not apply to "angle" type runners).

  6. Effective January 1, 2009
    Change:
    E.9 ..."The leading edge of the runners may be sharpened to included angle of not less than 75 degrees..."

    To: ..."The bottom edge of runners may be sharpened to an included angle of not less than 75 degrees..."

    Full text of E.9:
    Runner edge angle, camber (crown), and shape of ice contact line are optional. The bottom edge of runners may be sharpened to an included angle of not less than 75 degrees up to a point not exceeding 3/4" (19 mm) above the ice (measured with the runner in the normal sailing position). The edge of the compulsory 5/8" (16 mm) minimum profile radius (see E-3) may not be finished to an edge radius of less than 1/8" (3.2 mm). The remaining portion of the leading edge may not be sharpened to an edge radius of less than 1/16" (1.6 mm). All radii shall be faired to the runner sides. It is not allowed to taper or thin the 1/4" (6.35 mm) thick steel plate runners below the minimum allowed thickness toward the sharpened ice contact edge.

  8. Effective January 1, 2009

    H.22 The components of the mast hound may affect the free orientation of the mast by either forcing mast rotation or limiting mast rotation.

  9. Effective January 1, 2009
    Add:
    A.29 National letter and Sail number shall be affixed to each side of the fuselage below the mast stepping point. Color shall contrast with the fuselage and each letter and number shall be a minimum of 5.5 inches (140 mm) high and 0.7874 inches (20 mm) wide.
