The ranking list is used to seed qualifying regattas by placing sailors of similar performance into the same fleet, creating balanced competition throughout the event.

It’s hard to believe we’re talking about ice sailing when much of North America is in the middle of a hot, humid summer, and Europe has had its share of heat as well. Even though summer is in full swing, the next ice season is already on the horizon.
Here are your milestones to ice:
- 124 days until Week 47 in Finland, Europe’s traditional first gathering of the DN tribe.
- 143 days until the Western Challenge, North America’s traditional informal kickoff to the season.
- 200 days until the scheduled opening day of the 2027 DN World & North American Championships.
